Daub/fired clay

Daub/Fired clay from a Romano-British roundhouse. Impressions of the wattle which would have made the walls of the building. Comparative examples from the Iron Age hillfort at Danebury have been interpreted as being from dome ovens - explaining the firing of the building clay.
