Decorative Finial

Solid cast, schematic figure of a horse with raised suspension loop over shoulders, extremely thin, attenuated body, tail and limbs ending almost in points. Long muzzle with deep groove for mouth, stylized mane and ears like a cockscomb. Inner surfaces of legs flat, angular, a two pointed protrusion on the back at the tail joint, perhaps a degenerate version of the horse with riding bird or monkey as seen on fibulas. Fine patina: deep green on foreparts, shiny brown on hindquarters.
