Information

Solid-cast grotesque or comic anthropomorphic figure, holding a sword point upright. Turfa observes (2017) that the thin “base” beneath the feet may indicate the figure’s use as a finial on a bronze vessel, lid or furniture. Comic or grotesque “warrior” figures with crude features are more common as votives in Latium and the Picene territory than in Etruria.
