Design for a Fountain

The sculptors Thompson and Capstick worked with the Liverpool architect, Herbert J Rowse (1887 - 1963), on the distinctive 1930's decoration of the Mersey Tunnel entrances and ventilation towers and the Philharmonic Hall in Hope Street. It is not clear if this design for a fountain relates to one of their projects in Liverpool or to another of Rowse's buildings - the United Kingdom pavilion at the 1936 British Empire Exhibition in Glasgow.
