Design for Monumental Lion

The sculptors Edmund Thompson and George Capstick worked with the Liverpool architect Herbert J. Rowse (1887-1963) on the distinctive 1930's decoration of the Mersey Tunnel entrances and ventilation towers and the Philharmonic Hall in Hope Street.
