Information
Designs for windows in St Hildeburgh's Church, Hoylake, which was built between 1897 and 1899.
The firm of James Powell and Sons, also known as Whitefriars Glass, was an English glassmakers, leadlighters and stained-glass window manufacturer. As Whitefriars Glass, the company is believed to have been established in 1680 but became well known because of the 19th century Gothic Revival and the demand for stained glass windows.
