The Destruction of Datnam, Koran and Abiram

This watercolour depicts a scene from the Old Testament. Korah led a rebellion against Moses, along with Datnam and his brother Abiram, and over 200 co-conspirators. Jones shows the moment when the three were punished by God by splitting the earth beneath their feet, which consumed the three men, their families and all their possessions.
