Copper alloy diadem with gilding in the style of a wreath. Broken and repaired. From John Garstang's 1906 excavations in Upper Egypt and thought to be from Esna but it may also be from Abydos. 

Theodore Davis was assigned items from John Garstang's excavations as return for his financial backing. He donated ten items to the museum via Garstang on 15 February 1907. A recent (1980s?) catalogue card suggests it is from John Garstang's excavations at Esna (grave number 19 E) but this is not stated within the register dated 15 February 1907 which just states: " Bronze wreath (gilt) imperfect and very much broken. Egypt".
