Diary of emigrant, unnamed, travelling to USA. Sails from Liverpool on Teutonia, Dominion Line to New Orleans, 27 Sept - 24 October 1881. Via La Coruna, Spain to pick up cargo and passengers for Havana. Most of the diary covers period after the voyage. Finds work at Cabote farm, near Kingsbury, Guadalupe County, Texas. Is experienced at handling a team of horses. Mention of the various nationalities on the farm, the weather, work undertaken and the pay. William [his brother?] decides to return home. Author leaves the farm at the end of the diary, March 1882, destination not given. Possibly from Ashford in Kent.
