Information

One of a pair of cube-shaped bone (or ivory) dice with dot markings to its sides. The other is M6003 which isnot quite identical in size or arrangement of numbers. From grave 11 of Gilton Town, excavated in April 1760. The dice were found laid near the neck and the bones in the grave were nearly gone. Dots appear to be shallow-drilled. 5mm square. Top - 3 (diagonal line of three dots); bottom - 4 (dot in each corner); on sides the following (rolling dice anti-clockwise) - 6 (3 dots each side in parallel), then 5 (dots in corners and one in middle), then 1 (central dot), then 2 (diagonally arranged dots).
