Information

Dish, saucer-shaped, painted in famille verte enamels on the biscuit in a ground of composite black. Inside, two five-clawed dragons disputing a pearl in clouds and flames. On the sides, flowering plants - lotus, peony, chrysanthemum, peach, prunus, and pomegranate. Border of key fret pattern. On the outside, four dragons pursuing pearl. Mark of the Chenghua period (1465-1487 AD) in four characters, reserved in white in a black medallion, and enclosed by archaic dragons and clouds in green and yellow; but the dish is of Kangxi date (1662-1722 AD).
