An amulet in the form of a djed-pillar, both a symbol of the god Osiris and a hieroglyphic sign which means ‘enduring’, ‘stable’ and similar concepts. Mould-made in pale blue glazed faience ceramic. Broken with only upper part surviving. Mayer Inventory: Fifty two faience amulets in the shape of Djed column, emblems of stability. Catalogue card (1910): 29 djed amulets, blue and green glazed, also 1 with brown glaze.
