Djed Pillar Amulet

An amulet in the form of a djed-pillar, both a symbol of the god Osiris and a hieroglyphic sign which means ‘enduring’, ‘stable’ and similar concepts. Carved from a mottled red stone which is probably jasper. Mayer Inventory: Five amulets in stone, in the shape of the Djed Column.
