Door

This door to a shrine or a granary is decorated with a model of the Senufo world. The central panel, divided into four agricultural fields by lines that radiate from a sun disc in the middle, is a symbol of human culture. The hornbills and crocodile above and below are, by contrast, animals of the primordial wilderness.
