drang song / hermit mask

A large teardrop-shaped mask. The stylized yellow face decorated with buttons and brocade Buddhist symbols. The face is finished with a white beard, a long white mane of hair and the nose is attached with two stitches allowing it to be folded for travel. The semi-circular headdress is in silk brocade and beaded with a length of pearls, it has trailing streamers attached at either side with white metal endless knots.
