Walker is a painter and printmaker who won the 1976 John Moores Painting Prize with 'Juggernaut with Plume - for P Neruda'. In this drawing Walker uses coloured shapes to suggest a three-dimensional quality on a two-dimenstional plane. The shapes are set against a background of multiple textures, created through chalk, crayon and charcoal, as well as acrylic paint.
