Dress and Personal Accessories; Buckle



A copper alloy oval buckle with buckle plate from the medieval period. The buckle frame is decorated with an ornate outside edge consisting of four knops. The tapering folded plate is intact with paired rivets and two rivet holes, decorated with simple incised double border. The buckle was found on the shore at Meols.
