Satin worked with silks, metal thread and rouleau (a loped stitch.) Many different types of stitches including : - purl, cut silk pile and attached spangles, mica and seed pearls in long and short, stem, split and running stitches, French and bullion knots and a wide varity of detached button hole and lace stiches over wooden moulds and raised wool stuffing have been used. Green selvedge strips run down both sides.
