Duamutef Inlay

Currently not on display

Dark-coloured (?steatite) inlay in the shape of a mummiform standing jackal-headed god. There are many similar inlays of the Four Sons of Horus, so this is more likely to represent Duamutef, rather than Anubis or Wepwawet. For use in inlaid relief decoration. Remains of wax on feet from previous plinth mounting.
