Duberria lutrix (Linnaeus, 1758)

A short snake with a small head. The back is brick-red to pale brown sometimes with a broken black line along the centre, flanks are paler, being grey to light brown, belly is cream edged with a dark, dotted line. Length up to 43 cm.
