Egg-shell porcelain cup with cover and saucer, in a set of five (with LL 87, LL 6470, LL 6471 & LL 6472). On the cup are upright arched panels. In the centre is a European king and queen enthroned; and in the other panels, alternately, a praying figure with birds, and flowering plants. Beneath the rim is the inscription: ''L'EMPIRE DE LA VERTU EST ETABL-JUS-AU BOUT DE L'UNIVERS'' (Virtue's dominion stretches to the end of the world). It is a motto of Louis XIV. Cover and saucer to match, with foliage scrolls: four symbols outside. Mark of a fretted square underneath.
