Elderly Man ?George Holt

This is thought to be a portrait of the Liverpool cotton broker George Holt (1790 - 1861). According to Anne Holt who presented this drawing (and two other similar drawings of the Holt family (WAG 8714 and WAG 8716) to the Walker Art Gallery in 1974, this drawing did not belong to her and does not depict any of the Holt family. However George Holt (dates?) believes it is a drawing of a member of the Holt family and did belong to Anne Holt and her family. There are striking similarities between this drawing and the oil painting 'George Holt, Senior ' (WAG 8710 & WAG 8711) by Philip Westcott (1815 - 1878) in the Walker Art Gallery collection.
