Emys orbicularis (Linnaeus, 1758)

Species has flat, oval carapace, dark brown or blackish in colour with numerous yellowish spots or streaks, plastron dark brown with yellow markings. Head, neck and limbs have yellow markings sometimes forming irregular bands. Total length 13-19 cm.
