Ewer, one of a pair (to LL 5943), with ovoid body, tall slender neck with spreading mouth, dome-shaped cover surmounted by a lion, spreading foot, and scroll handle and spout, both issuing from dragon heads. The spout is supported by an archaic dragon stay. Decorated in cloisonné enamel. On the body are lotus scrolls in a turquoise ground, above which is a band of ju-i (ruyi ''as-you-wish'') pattern in green bordered with dark blue. On the neck is a band of ogre pattern and lotus designs and cloud scrolls with borders of stiff leaves and ju-i heads. Lotus scrolls on the cover. The handle and spout are inlaid with a cloud pattern in blue.
