Ewynny Priory

This watercolour is of Ewynny Priory in Glamorgan in South Wales. The Priory was completed in the 12th century and Turner visited it during his 1795 tour of Wales. This is a copy of Turner's original watercolour which is now in the collection of National Museum Wales. It was attributed to Turner in 1879 but this is now thought unlikely, due to differences in style and handling.
