Eye Inlay

Right eye inlay from an anthropoid (human-shaped) coffin (or a statue?). White is carved from a hard white stone (although has previously been described as ivory) with a thin domed disc of obsidian (although has previously been described as glass) to mark the iris. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Previous repair, adhesive on surface, chipped, discoloured, surface dirt.
