Information

Bell was Head of the Decorative Arts Department at Liverpool School of Architecture and Applied Arts (1894 - 1899). From the turn of the 20th century he focused on religious, mythological and allegorical subjects. In a letter to the Liverpool University Club, dated 20th October 1907, Bell wrote: "I believe that the frame for my drawing on 'The Fainting Nymph' has been sent to you by this time and I hope that it has proved the right size!".
