Small bronze amulet in the shape of a falcon crowned with a disc, most probably representing the god Horus. From Buhen, the former ancient Egyptian fortress outpost in Lower Nubia (Sudan) that in 1964 was entirely submerged beneath the reservoir waters behind the Aswan High Dam. Egypt Exploration Society 1957-64 excavations, site no. L10.70, cat. no. 1632. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Heavily corroded, areas of loss.
