Figure of a Cat

Carving of a cat covered with linen and stucco, painted and gilded. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Incomplete, hind leg and tail missing; surface is cracked with much surface loss; remnants of gilded decoration on ears and face. Possibly two large nails down the back; surface dirt, large crack on hind leg area. Mayer Collection Inventory 1928: Wooden figure of a cat, probabaly with the mummy of a cat inside, has been stuccoed over and gilded etc., Labelled "2444".
