Figure of K'uei Hsing (Kui Xing), the demon-god of Literature, standing on the head of a fish dragon emerging from waves. In his right hand is a brush which is broken and an inkstone in his left hand. Porcelain with coloured glazes, the flesh tints pale aubergine, and the robes yellow, green, and white; the dragon’s head and base coloured to match. Unglazed beneath.
