Figure of a lion on plinth

Figure of a lion, one of a pair (to LL 6675),seated on a rectangular plinths, with a cub under his fore-paw; the eyes movable. Porcelain, richly enamelled on the biscuit with the usual colours. The body is green and the hair picked out with yellow, aubergine, and black. On the forehead is a medallion with the character 'Wang' (King). On the plinth are brocade patterns; and two of the sides are pierced with a ju-i (ruyi ''as-you-wish'') shaped opening.
