Figure of Putai Heshang

Soapstone figure of Putai Heshang, god of Contentment, leaning on his bag of treasures. Of warm white colour, with hair etched with brown, the scanty robes bordered with etched and gilt brocade designs. He is seated on a quatrefoil base of reddish soapstone, with etched borders of lotus scrolls on a wave pattern ground.
