Figure of a Woman on a Bed

Pottery image of a woman and child lying on 4-legged bed. Broken in two and mended. Figures such as this one were used as votive offerings in temples or as objects of worship in private homes, and expressed the desire for children and perhaps magically ensured rapid conception.
