Tumbaga (alloy of gold and copper) double-headed figurine. Among the Native peoples of Colombia, gold and tumbaga ornaments marked status and wealth. The wide range of subjects in these ornaments may have served as emblems, identifying the wearer as belonging to a certain social or cultural group.
