Figurine of a Goddess

Statuette of a female deity, cast solid. Figure standing, modelled back and front. Wears a long close fitting garment and long wig. The arms have been attached separately and are now missing. The eyes were once inlaid and there is a hole in the head for a headdress or crown. Feet rest on a rectangular pedestal inscribed on all four faces, hollow, with peg for insertion into stand. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Previous repair, areas of corrosion, possibly fresh corrosion at base.
