Fragment of a finger ring with only a small part of the hoop and bezel preserved. Mended from two pieces. Glue stains on the end of the hoop suggests it was once fixed to another fragment. Purchased for the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at Sotheby's, London, 16 December 1924 (Bethell collection), Lot 358; previously in the Tyssen-Amherst collection, sold at Sotheby's, London, 17 June 1921 as part of a group of faience ring fragments from Petrie's 1891-92 excavations at Tell el-Amarna (lots 883-886).
