Heavy gilded bronze finger ring with inscribed oval bezel (the dimensions of the bezel are 20 x 14 mm). The inscription appears to read ca, 'beautiful are the manifestations of Ra', followed by the epithet tit-ra, 'the (very) image of Ra'. Find number 32/255: excavated in the east block of the magazines (R.41.5) between the Royal Estate and the Great Aten Temple in the Central City region of Tell el-Amarna during the 1932-3 excavations of the Egypt Exploration Society. Excavated by the Egypt Exploration Society in 1932. Acquired by the EES in the division of finds. Donated to the East Anglia Egyptian Society by the EES in recognition of a contribution to the EES (excavation subscription). Donated to Norwich Castle Museum. Purchased from the collections of Norwich Castle Museum in 1956 by Liverpool City Museum (now World Museum).
