Finger Ring

Finger ring carved from one piece of red jasper. The bezel is oval shaped and inscribed with hieroglyphs with what may be the name of a person, 'Mut-nebet'. The ring has what some Egyptologists describe as a stirrup-shaped profile which is typical of the New Kingdom. The hoop is broken and mended.
