Blue glazed faience finger ring with openwork ring bezel in form of an Eye of Horus (wedjat), a symbol which offered protection to the wearer. Glassy surface on the blue faience with the line around the eye showing signs of a deeper more violet colour. Perfectly intact with only a few tiny white patches in places. From Flinders Petrie's 1891-1892 excavations at Tell el-Amarna.
CONDITION NOTE 1998: Running crack around band, surface dirt.
