First World War memorial card

This memorial card was sent to Thomas and Elizabeth Hughes, parents of Arthur Hughes who died in the sinking of White Star Line's Arabic on 19 August 1915. The front of the card has a floral tribute and the words "In Loving Memory". Arthur was their youngest son and was only 20 years old when he was killed. He served as an Assistant Baker on board. It accompanied a next-of-kin memorial plaque, in memory of Arthur Hughes (MMM.1989.78.1).
