The Fisherman's Return

This drawing was an illustration for a Liverpool Autumn Exhibition catalogue. The Liverpool Autumn Exhibitions were held every year between 1871 and 1938 at the Walker Art Gallery. The drawing was previously own by Mr W Wolfenden, a Liverpool blockmaker and former editor of the Liverpool Autumn Exhibition catalogue. This particular illustration depicts a fisherman returning home to his wife and child.
