This flyer advertises Queertet, the first live theatrical event at a Liverpool Pride. It aimed to give voice to new writing, acting, and directing talent showcasing four short LGBT-related in one evening. In 2012 it was held at the Lantern Theatre, Blundell Street, running for two nights on 27 and 28 July. The show was presented by Drew and Lewis from Channel 4's 'My Transexual Summer' which followed seven individuals undergoing a summer of gender affirmation procedures. Madam Reprobate Written by Patrick Maguire Directed by Natasia Hodge It’s always a fraught time introducing the new man in your life to your mother but John has good reason to feel the way he does in this sparkling and warm hearted comedy. Linda and Sue Written by Chris Christou Directed by Michelle Taylor Linda loves Sue, Sue loves Linda, complicated? Could be. Chris has developed a nice study of love and the ways to a woman’s heart. Sweats Written and directed by Wes Williams Picture this, two mates in a gay sauna, loads of truth, loads of stories, loads of filth and a dash of romance maybe? Half a Bottle Gone Written by Ian Walker Directed by Rachael White Three friends, one night, bottle(s) of wine and a few shared secrets, except one of the guys has a big secret (and he may need more wine after tonight!). Kindly donated to the Museum of Liverpool by Liverpool Pride.
