Footwear

Child's shoe with thong stitched. Crushed with traces of linen stuck to sole. Collected by Rev. G J Chester (1864) and said to be from Thebes and of the 18th Dynasty. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Large area of surface loss, hard in places (some flexbility) tears in leather, cracked on sole, misshaped, fibres adhered to sole, surface dirt, label sellotaped to surface.
