Fragment of a Statue

Left knee and lower leg, fragment from a colossal statue, possibly of an Emperor. On the top outside of the leg there is a tooled strip, an indication of the drapery. Blundell considered it a very fine fragment and noted that his agent John Thorpe had picked it from 'a heap of rubbish'.
