Fragments of a deer figurine

Currently not on display

Fragments of the head, body, antlers and one hind leg of a deer, all part of a votive offering from the Sanctuary of Artemis Orthia in Sparta (or possibly another sanctuary site in Lakonia). The deer faces to its right. Deers are associated with the hunting goddess Artemis.
