Frank Lambert Esq, MA (Director of WAG)

Frank Lambert was Director of the Walker Art Gallery from 1931 to 1952 and this portrait was commissioned in 1951 to mark his retirement. Reed was art master at the Liverpool Institute from 1948 and he regularly painted official portraits.
