Funerary Bier Leg

One of a pair of lion headed legs from a funerary bier. Stuccoed and painted wooden leg in the form of a lion's head and forelegs, standing on a cornice and rectangular foot. The legs bear a chequered design in white, black, green, and red. The cornice is red. Compare with an example in Petrie's 'Objects of Daily Use' (London, 1927) p. 45, pl. XL [11-12].
