Pottery funerary cone, stamped on the round end with the name and title of the deceased. The hieroglyphic inscription possibly reads: “Musician of Amun (?) Renna. Deputy of overseer of the seal (?) Amenhotep" [a possible transliteration: Smayt n jmn RnnA. jdnw n jmj-rA xtmt jmn-Htp]. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Large chip, surface loss, surface dirt, concretions, label adhered. Wellcome Historical Medical Museum no. 19602: One light red funeral cone cake, with the impression of seal on the base. 10" high. 3¼" diameter. Three model funeral cone cake without inscription 2½" long. Purchased at Stevens', London, 25 November 1919. Lot 190.
