Pottery funerary cone, stamped on the round end with the name and title of the deceased. The hieroglyphic inscription reads: “Cup-bearer of the king, Satra" [wbA-nswt sAt-ra]. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Incomplete, chipped, suface loss, pitted, surface dirt, labels adhered. Wellcome Historical Medical Museum accession no.66515: FUNERAL LOAF Pottery, the form of truncated cone, on the base of which is stamped an inscription. From the tomb of Sat-Ra, the Royal Scribe. Thebes. 1" high 2¾" diameter. Purchased at Sotheby's, London, 12 November 1928 Lot 225: "Table of Offerings": a specimen of Mummy Cloth; various Ushabti Figures; a wooden Mask; and other Antiquities, many from Thebes, in large glazed case.
