Funerary Scarab

Faience funerary scarab with holes for sewing on to mummy bandages or bead netting placed over the mummy. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Surface loss, worn, discoloured, surface dirt. Mayer Collection Inventory 1928: Blue faience scarab from the net work of a mummy, Striated Elytra, holds a dish in its front claws (?).
